First snow has fallen in Lahti

Temperature is about -2 degrees Celsius and the forecast for this coming weekend is roughly the same maybe even a bit colder. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute there will be more snow on Monday. The City of Lahti will make snow if the weather permits it that is if it will be cold enough. Hopefully there will be a 1,5 km track ready here at the Lahti Sports Center on Wednesday!

All this means that finally the winter has arrived in Lahti.

There are 2089 skiers already registered at the moment, the furthest ones from Australia! Remember that the next scaling of prices will be at 16 th December. So hurry up and register to the Finlandia ski marathon!
