Finlandia Ski Marathon developes to offer more for every ski friend

Finland’s biggest ski marathon Finlandia-hiihto features again some novelties in its events. Finlandia-hiihto and Vierumäki Sports Institute will organize Naisten Finlandia, Finlandia for women, for the first time on February 10th. Unlike all other Finlandia-hiihto events, this will be in held entirely in Vierumäki.

Women’s Finlandia offers enjoyable skiing around Vierumäki, but also a lot more will be included in the event.

”For a long time, we have been planning ski and wellness event for women only. This year we are happy to have Vierumäki Sports Institute with us to make it happen for real. While the core is skiing, there it will be a lot of other things to do and enjoy as well. All in all, it will be great ski and wellness weekend for women”, says secretary general Tiina Hernesniemi.

Children’s Finlandia has been increasingly popular for Lahti and Hollola schools and will again be organized on Februart 13th. There will be 2000  children will take part of the event and enjoy the day with their classmates. This time also 5th and 6th class can participate.

”Year after year we are pleased to see all enthusiastic children enjoying their day-out in Salpausselkä ski trails together with their classmates. It is extremely important for us to do our part for the future ski friends”, Hernesniemi adds.
