The corona situation in Lahti makes it difficult to arrange Finlandia-hiihto

Press release Finlandia-hiihto 18.1.2021

Due to the current corona situation, it seems unlikely that Finlandia-hiihto can be organized with normal plans. Based on the negotiations with the local authorities, we are not yet able to say how the competition will be organized. In any case, it seems that we will not be able to carry out the competition as how it was originally planned.

We are currently trying to find a way to organize the competition safely and we are actively discussing various possibilities to guarantee the opportunity for those who have registered to participate in 2021 Finlandia-hiihto.

We will inform you as soon as new instructions come from the authorities. If you were planning to travel to Finland please make note of The Finnish Border Guard's restrictions to border crossing. The current restrictions will continue at least until 9. February 2021.

Snow situation is good

The tracks for Finlandia-hiihto is in good condition and the situation will improve in the coming days with a new snowfall. The new extended course has been primed once and waiting for more snow.
