Special COVID-19 Arrangements

See our arrangements to make Finlandia-hiihto safe as possible during the pandemic
 

All participants must be healthy and totally symptom free.

In the Race Office: Please do not rush and be prepared to queue outside. Favor the less busy hours. Only the participants are allowed to enter the race office. The entrance and the exit are arranged from the different doors and the movement inside is oneway. Bib packages are arranged in a wide area inside the office and they are sorted by the number.

If possible please try to avoid bringing any extra equipment that you would need to store in the Race Office. If you visit the Equipment Storage area please remember to keep the social distance at all times.

 

Please keep a safe distance of at least 1,5 meters to any staff members and to your fellow competitors at all times.

Please sanitize your hands before entering the Race Office. There will be several hand wash and sanitizer stations available in the Race Center.

Please keep in mind the general hygieve instractions throughout the event: Wash your hands, cough on your sleeve, use only disposable tissues etc.

 

We highly recommend that you wear a face mask when visiting the Race Office and entering the starting area. A special unit to dispose the used masks will be arranged to the starting area.

Participants will be divided into a smaller starting groups of maximum of 500 people. The groups are are formed based on the past results and target times. Start will be done with a rolling start (except the race groups).

At the Finnish the medals and prizes are given by keeping a safe distance.

After the race a meal will be served in a packaged portions.

We highly recommend to use your own options for washing. Saunas and showers are not available.

Finlandia-hiihto (Finlandia Ski Marathon) is an non-profit organization. The income (after expenses) will be divided between the two organizing local sports clubs - Lahden Hiihtoseura (Lahti Ski Club) and Hollolan Urheilijat -46 (Hollola Athletics '49). By participating you are supporting local youth athletics.
